ADA
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Information Network provides periodic information through emails, mailings, and through the KCDC Web site. This information is targeted to ADA/EEO Coordinators of government organizations and private employers. You can sign up to receive these messages.
ADA Resources
The US Department of Justice Disability Right Section maintains the ADA website which has the statute, regulations, technical assistance guides, and other resources to make it easier for you to learn about the ADA. If you have specific questions, calling them at 1-800-514-0301 would be the most expedient way of finding information. They also have an electronic complaint form online.
Pregnancy - While the ADA covers impairments related to pregnancy, pregnancy itself is not a disability. The Pregnancy Discrimination Act of 1978 prohibits sex discrimination on the basis of pregnancy.
